With a WIN tonight..

UC would be tied for 4th in the Big East with Pitt and Georgetown.

That would be HUGE.

I hope UC continues to improve on offense. They've shown the ability to play defense, but the offense is key because some teams they won't be able to shut down. Cutting down on foolish penalties/TO's would be trending in the right direction.
I don't expect Mick to be all world with this group, but simple improvements will give the fan base some more reason to believe.

This is a big game.

Many have touched on it, but the momentum would be huge for Syracuse at home on Sunday. Notre Dame is a quality team and tough to beat at their place, but we have the guns to do it. We're playing pretty well (even played decent at Louisville in the loss) but must get mentally tougher on the road.

Game plan:

1) Limit our fouls.
-We cannot give the refs reason to whistle us on every play.

2) Get Yancy established early.
- Yancy can dominate games, if he gets the touches. ND doesn't have the size to guard him down low.

3) Contain Harangody, but shut down everyone else.
-'Gody will get his, but we must limit everyone else.

4) No long scoring droughts.
-Cash emerged the last two games with a scoring boost, but everyone must pick it up. ND will score 70+ at home. We need to match them.

If UC can limit the three pointers, they have a solid chance to win. Gody will get his 20-25, but the key is to prevent their SF (forget his name, Abrimitis?sp) and Hansbrough from putting daggers into our runs.
