'13 NY PF Maurice Ndour (Offer)

Under-the-radar recruit who played his high school ball in Japan after growing up in Senegal. Currently a PF at Monroe C.C. in New Rochelle, NY. He's 6'8", 200 lbs. He has great ball handling skills for his size, and a good mid-range jumper. I love this kid's game. He has offers from: St. John's, Providence, and Cincinnati.

A bit more:

Monroe C.C. finished 3rd in the nation last year, in the JUCO Division I standings. He played alongside Orlando Sanchez (now at St. John's) and averaged 9.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. He shot 72% from the line. By comparison, Sanchez averaged 9.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game, while shooting 59% from the line.

Scouts say that Ndour has a non-stop motor, much like JJ. He's currently heating up on the summer circuit, recently netting 26 points on 10/15 shooting at Nike Pro City. He also had 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals in 31 minutes in the same contest.

Hmmm. Interesting. Sounds like a guy who was a project that might be turning the corner into a pretty good player.
