Arkansas transfer WR McKay cleared to play this season

Great news! 6'6 195 pound wideout who was pretty high up the rankings as a high schooler. We need experience at wideout this year, as we lost a good one in Thompkins. Hopefully, he will contribute for us.

He was second at Arkansas in receptions as a frosh. Any time you get a 6'5 reciever with 4.4 40 speed, you can't help but feel good. Add him to a stacked core that already has McClung, Moore, Chisum, Cole and possibly Holton, this offense could be down right lethal. If Blake Annen and Dowdy are as good as advertised + Abernathe as a slot reciever on certain downs, I think this might be a lot of fun to watch.
Only real question is the run game.

Wow! 6'5" WR with good speed. Getting minutes as a frosh in the SEC. Eligible now. UC has no dominant WR's like we have in the past. We have a QB who can get it downfield with a great line.

That is awesome news!!

Tubby said in the first game we will likely go 10 deep at WR because of the heat. Are you kidding me?? We are 10 deep at WR? He said we will go 4 deep at RB which I understand but 10 deep at WR???

I can't wait to see this kid play!!

How about some of the recent transfers?? Keil, Luc, McKay? Two top of the line 5 stars and not sure about McKay (what his rating was) but I am liking this. Holy Cow!!! If we can keep this up in the AAC we will be crushing it!

Shouldn't this be moved to the football board, or is he also going to be joining the basketball team?

I posted it and accidentally put it under basketball. But actually, he did want to go to a school that would allow him to play both at the beginning of his High School recruiting process:http://www.minerrush.com/2012/2/2/27...ruiting-update
