Mick had to coach with Bob Huggins recruits when Mick took over at UC. Problem is there were none setting UC back for years. Did Jim Tressel and Luke Fickell quit recruiting for OSU when they knew they were out the door? No, they were able to get guys like Adolphis Washington.
