Lamest excuse?
What is the lamest excuse that anyone here has heard for someone to not play a basketball game? I play in a rec. basketball league, and this is what our injury report would have said, if we had one.
Prob: Player A (ankle), Player B (shoulder) Questionable: Player C (birth of child), Player D (illness) OUT: Player F (poison ivy!)? that's right, that's not a mistake, poison iny! Anyone else here have any other good/lame excuses for not playing? |

For real though-Poison Ivy?...how old are your teammates? 10? In the rec league I played at a few years ago (back when the knees were still good ) Someone couldn’t make it because he needed to spend more time with his wife...are you kidding? The Mrs. was the only reason I joined the league! gotta get away some how

The wife excuse is nearly just as weak.
However, poison ivy. PuHAHAA! Makes you wonder how such posion ivy was gotten... My theory, the worlds worst golf shot into the woods, refusing to take a drop. "No worries, ill play it"

If he really had poison ivy you wouldn't want him out there or else you'd all have it. Now if he was making it up that is pretty lame. Spending more time with the wife is the lamest of all. He should have his man-card revoked.

I'd rather have someone w/ Poison Ivy than my teammate falling asleep during the game.

Speaking of lamest excuse, how about one of Griffey's teammates defending him saying he can't sleep at night because he's not comfortable in his hotel without his family and is only comfortable in his chair in the clubhouse.

He had gross poisen ivy that was oozing and pussin through gozz and his pants. It was on his knee's so when he walked it would bust open and ooz more. His knees were swelling very badly as a result.
His 25 ppg were missed. |
