Diarra also presents more matchup problems of his own on the offensive end. He shoots it from 3 well enough that teams have to guard him. Being able to pull the other teams big away from the basket provides more driving lanes and rebounding opportunities.
I swear you talk about Diarra like he would be all conference if he got the minutes lol. You crack me up

I think he honestly believes he would be.

That literally happens every time. It’s not some new development. Any team, any game, losing causes more of a stir than winning

The spread on this game was a couple of buckets. We were without Jarron. We were without Davenport (not a big deal except for depth). McNeal played 20 minutes. Harvey wasn't good. Jaevin did very little. Mika didn't do much. Vogt didn't do much.

We were on the road against a Q2. We were down a sizable chunk of points. We won by double digits.

Of course we were supposed to win...but with a short rotation and without your best player...can we just give the coach (and players) some credit in a MUST win situation?

Good God!!

I agree lol. I’ve noticed a lot of Vogts deficiencies lately, but he’s still a big body that changes plays. It’s just weird how his defense is ignored because it’s not on the stat sheet but Diarras is this huge thing that needs to be recognized. Vogt builds his lower body strength, plays the amount of minutes a 7’1 guy should play he could be a lot better. But apparently he’s literally at his ceiling. Because UC has always been known for our terrible strength training and body conditioning. But then Diarra on the other hand, could be a knock down 3 point shooter if we just ran plays for him, if he just got the minutes he’s be unstoppable

My first post was on page 9, at the beginning of the comeback.

This thread is now 24 pages long.

Half of 24 is 12...

I agree, I thought it was a great win, with no jarron and 8 players. On 1 days rest. I did not expect a win. Guess some people expect a win no matter what.

i wonder what the line would have been to start if it was known Jarron wasn't playing

Awesome win last night. Rather than arguing about who deserves credit, I would rather discuss last nights game.

Tre- Absolute monster. Doing everything he can for this team and PERFORMING. It's one thing to play hard....he is executing. It would be a travesty if he isn't 1st team AAC

Keith- What a performance. Hopefully this is a launching point for the rest of the season. When he is aggressive trying to get shots at the rim he is a difference maker. Keep the same mentality with Jarron out there!

Dou & Chris McNeal- Changed the game. Both were efficient on offense and especially changed the game defensively. Getting these 2 confidence could be a game changer down the stretch. Having Dou in there for spacing benefits Keith's game. Really opens up the lane for his driving.

Hopefully Jaevin can get hot over the next couple of weeks paired with an efficient Jarron. I'm hopeful!

Go Cats!
No reason to not be excited JustinHub! Glass half full never hurt anybody!
