None of those had the potential to overwhelm the healthcare system. Around a fifth of Coronavirus cases require hospitalization. We have 95,000 ICU beds in the US. A third of that number taken by a surge of Coronavirus patients will overwhelm the system (average occupancy is 68%). So that means our system breaks down at about 160,000 cases. There's a non-zero chance of that happening if we don't contain it.

There's a reason why China and Italy had to implement draconian measures.

On an another note.

Mick said he only 2 good things happed on Saturday, 1. That his team had a culture shift where losing was unacceptable and 2. That Tre Scott finished his home career on a game winning tip in.

I’m glad he watched and I’m sure he called him to congratulate him.

Reading responses to coronavirus is like reading a Justin response on Brannen. Really makes you wonder how we survived this long.

Maybe we didn’t survive.

Maybe this place is just another places hell. One where John Brannen loses to Colgate over and over and over and over

And the only way to escape it is to get the Coronavirus?

Where are you getting these numbers from? Unless you're like 70+ your chances of dying or needing hospitalization are way lower than just having the flu.

Italy has the oldest population in all of Europe, exceptionally higher than the US, and China is a dumpster fire.

A lotta of people, not me, but a lot people say the corona virus was created by the NCAA as a way to get rid of the older fans who take Up all the good seats and rarely stand up to cheer in arenas across the country.

It’s really just a season tickets purge.

An old person that dies takes up the same number of hospital beds as a young person that survives. I don't trust China's numbers as much as I do Italy's.

Quote:
March 9th : at 6 pm Italian time, the Protezione Civile released the following data:

The number of people with coronavirus in Italy today is: 7985
4316 in hospital
10% of them in ICU
about 3000 in isolation at home
Recovered: 724
Dead: 463

You have a way higher chance of dying then if you get the flu. And the issue is you can spread the virus for weeks before even knowing you have it

If we miss the tourney and host an NIT game. My guess... there won’t be any fans in attendance
