WOW
• Reds' No. 12 prospect Vladimir Gutierrez set a pair of career highs as he struck out nine over seven innings for Class A Advanced Daytona in what was his best professional start. The 21-year-old righty, whom the Reds signed for $4.75 million last September, allowed two earned runs on five hits, throwing 66 of his 86 pitches for strikes. Gutierrez has given up three earned runs, with 19 strikeouts and zero walks, in 17 innings across his past three starts

Reds at 14-14 with the worst starting rotation in baseball.i hope sending Reed down affords him the opportunity to stretch out and pitch regularly in the rotation at Louisville. Really need to do the same thing with Stephenson. It really is sink or swim time with these two. Garrett has been better then I expected and Bailey has started a throwing program targeting the middle of June for a return. Adelman has pitched well enough to stay in rotation. All other spots are up for grabs.
