From Deepthroat: Altercation between Cumberland and GF and some other dude. No one was beaten badly, if at all. A lot of smoke being blown. May be slapped on wrist for cupcake games. Big if true.

Bright side is that this seems over and will never reach the media nor the court system. Valuable lesson for him. It’s funny though bc I knew it was him before details came out. Outside of the new guys, I had a ton of confidence it wasn’t one of our other starters. Between ordering the iPhone X at 3 am and this incident, I didn’t sleep a ton last night. Being this basketball obsessed May not be healthy for me |

We are considered a "Dark Horse" this year as they rank 16 teams that could possibly when the National Championship.
https://www.cbssports.com/college-ba...nto-tiers/amp/ Breakdown: Cincinnati won't have five players on our annual Top 100 (and one) Players list, but by year's end it might well have a case for it. I do, truly, try not to get too far ahead of myself in the preseason. I try not to build up programs too much. But every year we get a nice influx of schools that are expected to make a jump and then do. Cincinnati was already pretty good last season. And it's one of the really good all-time programs (I explained why last season.) Yet this team should be right there with Wichita State at the top of the AAC. It can be a top-10 team. It can be one of the five best teams in Bearcats history because Mick Cronin has never had this much offensive firepower and this many reliable two-way players. Cane Broom is a transfer out of Sacred Heart who dominated the NEC, but almost no one has heard of him. He's going to step on the floor with Jacob Evans, Gary Clark, Kyle Washington and Jarron Cumberland -- and Cincy is going to be as entertaining as it has looked since the peak Bob Huggins years. |

I don't like to make too much of a scrimmage but Cane looked very comfortable and confident out there. He did exactly what we were hoping for...score some points and drop a bunch of dimes. It could not have went much better really. Our bench looks much more capable than I was planning for as well. I was a little worried we might have to play our starters 30-35-38 minutes in some games but I don't feel that way now. This team should be able to run and press while we sub for breathers without losing a lot. We can play just about any style we want. |
