But he's just a man quitting his job, just couldn't handle the heat either. And let's ignore the reports that Brannen had issues at NKU to, that was probably just a few players as well.

Occam's razor. It's a lot easier to say that one person - Brannen - is the problem than that most of the above players were.

Sure, DDJ likes Brannen and says he trust him. But he also says that he understands why the guys left, that the culture does need to change. That Brannen needs to change. He just believes that change will happen and was closer to Brannen than the others.

We don't know what happened, we have rumors, people reporting things they've heard and anonymous player quotes. That's probably all we will ever have. Some of those reports are that Brannen manipulated, deceived and lied to players.

They are one of the sources that aren't being paid to be nice to Brannen. They aren't trying to play nice to get access.

I have a feeling the rumors keep coming up due to you’re constant pushing extreme narratives, unsubstantiated. I would bet we never hear any address from admin over what’s actually transpired and everything just moved on.

Saunders had two PM's leaked where he said he is leaving because of the coach. Brannen's wife was liking tweets trashing Saunders for leaving. Saunders mom went after Brannen for walking off the court early. This isn't reaching, this is stuff that is easily visible if you've been paying close attention.

Hard to believe Saunders would want to come back after that, hard to believe Brannen would want him back.

Plot twist.. could it be possible that saunders is the issue?

Probably 50% chance. Probably thought his long relationship with Brannen was gonna entitle him to walk right in as a starter playing starting minutes. When he didn’t he cried.

The DDJ article makes it clear that no decision has been made yet. Wonder why the administration is taking so long if it's just a bunch of soft players?

Brannen messed up. Does it rise to the level of abuse? Probably not. Does it rise to the level of him get fired? Hard to say. Is it entirely because of him? Probably not.

But it wasn't just the players. It's the coaches job to communicate, to build relationships outside of practice, to make the players feel welcomed, like they belong, like family. Huggins and Cronin did it, they could be could be hard on players on the court because of the relationships they built off the court. Brannen has failed. DDJ says he was an intermediary between players and coaches, that is a sign of a fractured locker room.

Does Brannen deserve a second chance? No. He wasn't paid 1.5 million to learn to coach. Will he get one? Maybe. 4.5 million is a lot of money.

If guys are getting terminated over transfers there is gonna be a lot of coaches out of a job this year. You’re kinda extreme. Players were just soft like you.

I could see a major assistant coach shake up.

If the transfers were saying they are leaving because of coach conduct and going to the AD to request an investigation into the coach. Then yeah, there probably would be a lot of coaches getting terminated.
