Info for Dayton game

March 18, 2010

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati men's basketball advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament with a 76-62 victory over Weber State last night. The Bearcats will now face long-time regional rival, the University of Dayton from the Atlantic-10 Conference, on Monday, March 22 at 9 p.m. in Fifth Third Arena. The game will be telecast nationally on ESPN.

Cincinnati and Dayton have played 89 times since the series began in 1907 with the Bearcats holding a 59-30 advantage, but this will be the first time the two have played each other since 2005. The Bearcats are 38-11 in Cincinnati, winning 15 in a row from 1973 to 2005 vs. UD. The Flyers won the last game in Fifth Third Arena, 75-66, on Nov. 29, 2005.

Tickets for the Bearcats second round game of the NIT vs. Dayton are on sale now by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX or going online at www.CATSTIX.com. Tickets are $25 for lower level, $20 for upper level chair, $10 for upper level bench, $4 for students with a valid ID, and $15 for youth age 12 and under.

2009-10 men's basketball season ticket holders will have until 6 p.m. today (March 18) to order their tickets and retain their regular-season ticket locations.

Student tickets are available online at www.CATSTIX.com now. Any student who has not purchased a ticket online by the day of the game will have to go in person to the Richard E. Lindner Center Athletics Ticket office to receive a seat.

Fans are encouraged to use www.CATSTIX.com to purchase their tickets and avoid long lines at the UC Athletics Ticket office on game night.

Parking for the NIT will remain the same as the first round with all lots open for cash parking except for the Varsity Village Garage. The cost will be $8 per vehicle. Season pass holders are encouraged to park in their regular garages.
