I posted it in this forum, but for those who follow recruiting, they may want to see/watch which recruits go to the games.

I believe NC is having a spring game today. Interesting to see who might have attended that as it relates to UC recruiting.

Large turnout expected for Michigan Spring game
Close to 40 recruits attended Michigan’s spring game last year, and the Wolverines could reach or even exceed that number this Saturday.
Ron Stokes, the father of Michigan freshman wide receiver Je’Ron Stokes is bringing in anywhere from 15 to 20 recruits from the eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey areas as part of his organization known as Top Prospects Sports, which focuses on building character among football recruits while also helping them gain exposure. One prospect coming in with Top Prospects Sports is defensive end Deion Barnes, who attends Stokes’ alma mater, Philadelphia Northeast. The 6-5, 225-pound Barnes already holds offers from Maryland, Penn State, Pitt, South Carolina and Virginia. He will be looking to add Michigan to that list when he visits this weekend. “We don’t push the kids (toward particular schools), but we definitely want to expose them,” Ron Stokes said. “Hopefully (Barnes) will walk off with an offer up there this weekend.” Other prospects who already hold Michigan offers and have stated their plans to attend Saturday’s spring game include Plymouth defensive end Brennen Beyer; Olney, Md., defensive tackle Vincent Croce; Strongsville, Ohio, tight end Ray Hamilton; Orlando running back Demetrius Hart; Sugarland, Texas, running back Jarrell Oliver, and West Branch offensive lineman Anthony Zettel. Michigan grabbed two commitments as a result of its spring game last year. Running back Stephon Hopkins from Texas and safety Marvin Robinson of Florida each attended last year’s spring game and committed to the Michigan staff during those visits. Considering the number of recruits expected at Michigan on Saturday, there is a chance the school could add to its class of 2011 commitment list this weekend as well. http://www.freep.com/article/2010041...Ms-spring-game |

The Cardinals kick things off Friday night at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The game will pit the first-team offense (Red) against the second-team defense (white) and the second-team offense versus the first-team defense. There will be four 15-minute quarters with a running clock. The defense has struggled at times this spring and could use a good performance. Quarterbacks Adam Froman and Justin Burke will make their case to be the starter. Connecticut UConn coach Randy Edsall has already asked fans to come out and show support in numbers for Saturday's spring festivities. Former stars Donald Brown and Tyler Lorenzen will serve as honorary coaches for one team, facing off against three members of the 2004 team, including Dan Orlovsky. Normal scoring will take place in four 15-minute quarters. Pittsburgh The Pitt spring game will be televised on the NFL Network beginning at 2 p.m. and features a pretty knowledgeable color analyst: Dave Wannstedt. The game will feature the offense vs. the defense with a modified scoring system. South Florida Skip Holtz's first spring game will involve the first-team offense against the first-team defense. Quarterback B.J. Daniels will play but will be wearing a non-contact jersey to protect his surgically repaired shoulder. Holtz will watch the first half from the press box. Syracuse With a thin roster still, Doug Marrone won't have a traditional offense vs. defense scrimmage. "We're going to put the ball at the minus 20-yard line and we're going to say, 'Let's go play football,'" he said. "Eventually, when we get our numbers up, we will split this team up into a true game." Ryan Nassib is trying to hold onto the quarterback's job with Charley Loeb making a strong charge. http://espn.go.com/blog/bigeast |
