The fact that he committed to coastal Carolina tells me he isn't really that good

I'd just think if Cincinnati's HC and top asst came to see you the summer before your SR year, you'd believe you have a chance to blow up a little. But maybe the Cincinnati interest doesn't carry much weight. I mean, we've offered scholarships to kids getting recruited by Cal-State Bakersfield, Fairfield, Hofstra, High Point, Kennesaw State, Drexel, Rider, Robert Morris and Sam Houston State. If Coastal Carolina already has an early commitment from a kid we looked at (we didn't actually offer though, right?), then why can't we get an early commitment from the diamond in the rough kids with no other major offers besides us? Why would they continue to hold out?

The fact that he committed so early to coastal tells me that bigger schools such as us, were uninteresting in him after they met with him in person and saw him work out in person. The fact that we send our HC and top assistant to go see this guy tells me how serious they are taking recruiting the center position.
