You know damn well that's incorrect Ralph.

Juliepitzer is on a distinguished road
Last season, we lost to Notre Dame, Marquette, and South Florida in that fatal month. The season prior, we lost to South Florida, Depaul, and Seton Hall during the same critical stretch. All were games we should have won against teams we were better than IMO. This is a new year however and I am hopeful.

I am definitely envious of Ralphs loyalty, even if his facts are not exactly straight lol. Be confident everyone. I think this is the year we get in, I really do.

No kidding.

The Bearcats lost to some absolutely terrible teams down the stretch the last 2 years so either the Bearcats themselves were even worse than that or Ralph is wrong again. Which is it Ralph?

Bearcat_NTS: 2-4... St.Johns and Xavier are both comfortably in the tournament as of today. It doesn't matter though, there is no path to the 8/9 BE wins we will need at minimum without picking up some more quaility wins along the way. 7 of the 9 games left are against projected tourney teams. I believe we'll need 2 of those games to have a shot to dance.

Ralphy is always wrong. He has never once been right in the history of UC sports.

they need to win against St. Johns, Depaul, and Providence. They then will need to win 2 of 3 against UCONN, G'town an UL. If they slip up in any of those they better get on their knees and pray they can beat G'town, Pitt or Marquette on the road. 10-8 will make them in good shape, with this weak of a field and 3 more spots they may sneak in at 9-9.

The bigger question is will them backing into the tournament be a bad thing in the long term (extending Mick)?

Don't expect an answer any time soon.

Why is extending Mick a bad thing? If he gets extended it more than likely means that the programs is continuing to build off of what he has already accomplished in rebuilding the program.

First of all if UC beats SJU, G'town, and Louisville at home they won't be backing in. Throw a victory against UConn in there and they're skipping in smiling. They are projected as a 9 seed and because they lost one game some of you think the whole season has come unraveled. It hasn't! A loss to Providence on the road wouldn't be devastating. One at Depaul would. If Mick Cronin gets this team to the NCAA tournament why would you want to see a change? You have a coach that took a program hit by an atomic bomb and steadily built it back up. If they even play reasonably well they'll end the regular season with 22-23 wins and 9-9 or 10-8 in league play. Can we give this guy some credit please? C'mon, why would you ask this question?

Continuity is the best thing for a program. Especially one that keeps improving. The trajectory is on the right track. The question should be what if we don't make it to the NT? But it's an answer that should wait till this season plays out and we see the end result.
