Who are you referring to? Cam Hayes went to LSU. Trevon Brazile went to Arkansas. Payton Sparks decided to return to Ball St. Are there players we were talking to who committed to lower conference schools?

I believe it's Us vs Bama for both Rayvon/Collier. We seriously need lock up a legit pro potential big. That will make it easier on the wings/guards committing when it's a pro in frontcourt. Satterfield, Logan, Demarr, Sk, Stevenson all had pro bigs on team.

We might not see the higher potential transfers coming to UC until we're in the Big 12 and have a better broadcast package.
UC has great history, but their overall situation for a guy looking to play, win, and get noticed is not as ideal as other locations, even if Wes is a good coach that people like. Yeah a program like Butler hasn't been as good these past few years, but they just hired Matta, they have every single game on a national network, and they play in a conference that regularly pulls five teams to the big dance. UC will get there in time with the Big 12. If that were not the case, I'd say the new transfer rules would be hurting UC's long-term potential much more. And we likely would not even have Wes Miller in the job because he had a development formula that was helping him win games at a lower D-1 program and could have just waited for another high major school to eventually call. |

We might strike out, but I think it's too soon to say right now. Ezikpe is still an option, as are Tchikou, Gaines, and Terry Roberts.
We're apparently in touch with Marcus Hammond from Niagara, a 6'3" guard who can score, takes care of the ball, and limits fouls. |

He looks like a 3 and D type who would be a better version of MAW. Very low turnover and foul rates, and low usage on offense. Has attempted more threes than twos in his career, but shoots it well at 37%. No dunk attempts, bad rebounder, and doesn't get to the free throw line.

He grew up in Boone County, so he's maybe of thinking being closer to family. I don't recall watching WVU this past year, so I don't think I saw him.
If Huggins was willing to give him a shot, he probably has something decent to work with. |
