Maui Invitational
UC is making a big name for themselves with a nice start to the season. After two fairly easy games eased them into the season, they beat a ranked Vanderbuilt team on Monday and tonite beat Maryland, another ranked opponent.
While the defense is needs a little work, as does turnovers, UC is starting to look like a team on a mission. Can't get better than 4-0. Better than that even, is the fact that UC is winning regardless of key players having a nite off. Vaughn was off against Vandy, and Bishop and Wright were not key factors offensively. The key to success is pushing the ball up, and having balanced scoring. BTW, Dixon is having a heck of a season thus far. It's going to be a fun ride. |

On Wed, UC will face either Wisconsin or Gonzaga in the championship game.

They're getting Gonzaga. Should be a very up tempo matchup.

It's going to be fun. If Cincy can make some outside shots, and attack the basket...their defense could carry the day.

Tough loss in OT to Gonzaga. I didn't like the alley oop at the end of regulation. Too many missed FT's, and settling for outside shots.
Good run in the tourney though, and the Zags showed more toughness than UC. |
