What are the expectations for Miller over the next 5 years?

For me,

Year one: just win some games and play hard.

Year two: Be at least .500 and play hard.

Year 3: Be an NIT/borderline NCAA team.

Year 4: Make the NCAA (or be very close).

Year 5 and beyond: NCAA tournaments every year.

I also want to see him improve his offense. It's not as bad as it looks on paper. Getting shooters will help him out quite a bit. Does need to improve team shot selection and late shot clock execution.

Koval was already a grad transfer, so I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't use the bonus year. If he does and comes here, I can deal with it. He's just a one year rental guy and somewhat more athletic than Vogt (though not athletic enough for the AAC). My biggest nightmare material may be Lakhin, but will wait to see how he looks on the court (if he even stays on the team) and how much he plays before I worry too much.

Interesting note looking over his recruiting.

MAW had an offer from him back in 2019.

He also had 0 recruits signed for 2021.

This is encouraging to me. Based on their terrible assist numbers, I assumed poor shooting was due to bad offensive schemes. But if they are getting open looks and just missing them, better players alone should go a long way to better offensive efficiency.

I watched some highlights from that same game and there is a lot of movement and cutting in the offense. Some good off ball screening and such.

But I just saw stuff from the first half. Maybe they go full iso ball in the 2nd half, because somehow Miller ended up with a 35.2 usage rate.

Looks like he is trying to add Mike Roberts to the staff who coached under him for a bit before leaving to go to Indians the last 2 years.

Would imagine that guy can recruit some.

If he lands him he already leap frogged John Brannen’s busted ass staff

you mention our last guy every single post.

If he can get a guy familiar with the area thats a plus. Also if Mike Roberts was the lead recruiting for the Moeller guy, I wouldn't mind having an in there.
