'14 NJ C Quadri Moore (Commit)

Quadri Moore
Linden, New Jersey
Center
Ht: 6'9"
Wt: 230
Class: 2014

#71 in his class according to ESPN

Strengths:
Moore is a highly skilled wide-bodied five man. He has a super soft touch that starts in the paint and extends all the way out to the arc where he is a very dangerous long range shooter. He has great dexterity, not only finishing with both hands on both sides of the rim but also being able to put the ball on the floor and passing with both hands within the flow of the offense or when taking the ball off the defensive glass. He catches with soft hands and has good footwork when pivoting to face-up.

Weaknesses:
Conditioning and mobility need to be his first two orders of business. He's carrying two much bad weight right now and can consequently struggle to keep up with the pace of the game as a result. While he is super skilled, he tends to drift to the perimeter a little too much where he has demonstrated poor shot selection. He has the size to create space in the lane and needs to utilize that to develop some sort of post game.

Bottom Line:
Moore is a step-out five-man who has a unique combination of size and skill. As he becomes a better trained athlete and learns to make his size work for him, his stock will only continue to rise.

Per the RecruitScoop:

Quadri Moore, a 2014 big man from Sports U (NJ), lists Georgetown, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Seton Hall & Ohio State at #HGClassic.

'14 NJ PF Quadri Moore

With such a big body, one wouldn’t expect Quadri Moore to be the type of player that he is. Despite his youth, the Garden State player is ready to have a breakout sophomore season with his pure talent and potential.

A 2014 6-foot-8 power forward from Linden (NJ), who runs with Sports University/Team Izod on the AAU circuit, Moore has established himself as one of the most interesting prospects in his grade. Despite not playing as much AAU as he would like this summer due to summer school, he made his presence felt at U15 nationals in Arkansas.

With the ability to play inside and out, Moore can shoot the ball. He has a good mid-range game with the ability to shoot the three-ball, despite his mass. The rising sophomore does best with the pink and pop, as well as the pick and roll where his point guard plays a crucial role in his productivity on the court. His speed, agility and athleticism aren’t very high because of his weight. However, if he ends up losing weight and conditions more, Quadri Moore could be an extremely interesting prospect to watch develop.

Growing up a Georgetown fan, he lost his favoritism once he hit high school. Instead, the Linden player is looking for, “a good program and a place that is not to far away from home,” he said. “Location is factor.”

Currently, he has not visited any schools but is hearing from, “Georgetown, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Seton Hall and Ohio State.”

With all of his size, shooting ability and skill, his upside is way to high to pass on. As Linden is slated to play in bigger games this winter, look for Moore’s name to become even more attractive as the years go on.

He claims there is a UC offer but I haven't heard a confirmation on that. He needs to get better defensively but at 6'9" and 230 lbs., he can provide a power presence on the low block.

Quadri Moore, a class of 2014 prospect out of Linden (NJ), listed scholarship offers from Seton Hall, Providence, Rutgers, Cincinnati, and Georgetown to go along with interest from Kansas. A 6’8 power forward who plays for Sports U’s U16 team, Moore said he has no favorites and no timetable for a commitment. As for who is recruiting him the hardest, he remarked, “Well Rutgers has been lately, the past couple weeks, but mainly [it has been] Seton Hall and Georgetown and a little bit of Cincinnati.”

Also in the beginning stages of his recruitment Moore already holds high major offers from Georgetown, Providence, Seton Hall, and Cincinnati with Kansas also actively recruiting him and seemingly close to extending a scholarship offer.

Looks like a nice powerful guy down low like Yancy was I think that's what was missing last year. He sure does look like a bearcat to me.

Cincinnati and Seton Hall have recruited Linden's Quadri Moore the longest & hardest. I see a slight Bearcats edge heading down the stretch

Great news, hope Mick can get him and then maybe we would become more appealing to Terrell, although he may commit before Moore does.
