Spring game!

I know we are all missing our cats basketball and hoped for a deeper run but if it makes u feel any better next Saturday the football spring game takes place down at Paul brown. I'll be there checking out this years squad, this should help me officially get over the Harvard game

I think I might make it down. I want to see how Gunner looks. Got an email about it a couple of days ago. It will be $5 parking but admission is free. Game is at noon. I hope Tuberville runs a normal game instead of the stupid points thing they did years back.

Yes I want a real game. I can't wait, I want to see gunner throwing to this great receiving core of McCay, moore, Washington, and Abernathy. The o line development will be crucial to this years offense which has the potential to be awesome. I heard Eddie gran say they will play an extremely up tempo offense. Also on defense I hope to see jeff luc play like the recruit he was, but nic temple should we the leader of the defense. Also sack Edwards was great last year as a freshman. I think we can be pretty good!

Got to pick out my seats yesterday as well. Got front row in the club level, should be a fun year. Our offense better tear through our league.

Anybody else go yesterday? I went to see how Gunner and the offense would look. Gunner looked like a serious upgrade over the past few years, but he wasn't flawless. For a spring game he met the expectations I was hoping for. He left some balls short. A couple plays the receivers made good adjustments to make great catches. We have ALOT of talent at the receiver position. ALOT. This offense could be very fun to watch this year. Especially if Gunner plays like is capable. McKay made a really good catch over the middle of the field where he jumped up and grabbed the ball at it's highest point. Plays like that are what seperates the elite receivers. He had some issues with dropped balls last year and he dropped one yesterday that I remember where the ball hit his hands. If he can sure that up he could have a monster year. Add in Moore, Shaq, Abernathy, Chism, Morrison, the juco. There was a sophomore, Jones maybe?, that looked good as well. We are loaded. Gonna be a fun year. The defense didn't do much to impress me, but I think we'll be fine. Yesterday seemed to be about showcasing the offense.

Yes gunner wasn't flawless yesterday but showed he's got what it takes to be a very good quarterback. He's a big strong guy, and seemed very confident in leading this team. McKay is a great receiver so tall and athletic he just jumps up and comes down with it, also Chris moore had a sweet 50 yard diving catch he is a very good receiver as well. This offense is loaded with weapons and Kiel has the arm to get it to everyone. In the game we threw a ton which I loved, we did bubbles, screens, deep balls, across the middle we did everything and I expect this offense to be an up tempo team that throws a lot. We did a ton of bubbles to Morrison, shaq, and Abernathy these guys are quick and fast. This offense can be extremely dangerous. My biggest concern is our field goal kicker neither looked good. Gunner is the key, I think he has the potential to be great

I thought Miliano graduated last year. Not surprised they had him in with the second team, but yeah the other kicker missed a 38-yarder. Hopefully we are kicking PAT's and not FG's alot.

The sad fact is that this spring game might be the best game that we're able to watch the FB Cats play this year. The competition coming to PB looks pretty weak for the upcoming season. But, I echo everyone else's thoughts. I'm excited to see Gunnar and anxious to move on after the disappointing end to the basketball season. Hope the turnout is a good one!

PS Ohio State tickets are going for about $150 right now on Stubhub for those with extra cash.

They will need the best fan support this year to make PBS crowded and loud. I agree the home schedule is not the best, but hopefully south Florida or Houston can have a good season and bring in a crowd. As i look at the schedule I think tulane a season opener on a friday night should bring in a good crowd as everyone should be excited for the first game and to see what they got this year(some fans are extremely interested to see how Kiel does), and then the second game vs Miami(who isnt very good but is still a rival from ohio) should also bring a solid crowd. Then we hit the road for the biggest game of the season at osu (u cant duck us anymore, we dont care if its in Colombus), if we pull that out Paul Brown would be rocking as our ranked cats welcome Memphis. That OSU game could set the stage for a special season if we can pull the upset i know our players will be pumped and ready to finally play them. But with a win over them or at Miami fl or both will allow for good crowds the rest of the season
