You might have a point. It also certainly helps that he has a squeaky clean, guy-next-door reputation off the court (GPA is around 3.8 or 3.9 I believe).

Jason until this year those rules were not enforced regularity and unless you have been living under a rock you know this. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

it could also be he is a very good player. If I asked how many times people downgrading his performance have seen him play I would guess it Is less then 25 prescient of his scheduled games. Yet they are certain he gets away with murder. I would also predict none are officials.
