Agreed. Never meant to imply he was. Frankly the way his recruitment is playing out he could be one of those kids that was a borderline 5 star player his soph. year then between lack of development and other issues (grades) ends up signing late his senior year with a mid-major. Not to say Macon will end up at Akron or Kent State but I think you understand my point.

From what I've seen of Macon, I think he is going to be really, really good.

Yes, I would assume a 4 and a 5. I think they would take two PF's if they are good enough, e.g. - McGary and Macon (assuming he can qualify).

i think you take whoever you get. college basketball does not require a traditional 4 and a traditional 5. a lot of teams play four wings and a 4. a lot of teams play undersized 4's at center. we just need bigs however they come.

I thought that went without saying? Obviously they aren't going to take a 4 and a 5 just to have them, however, IMO, that is what they'd like to get. But I still disagree, a good team doesn't just want a bunch of face up PF's. Having a center (or PF) that plays on the low block with their back to the basket is important. A good mix is important. You can't just run up and down the court every game, teams are going to slow you down where having someone who can post on the block becomes critical.

You have to have low post scoring imo. Teams need to be balanced. There are exceptions, like UConn this past season with Kemba, but by and large the best teams are balanced.

Obviously Kemba did the fair share of work, but they got 9.6 pts and 8.7 rebounds out of their center. And that is just offense. Oriakhi played a huge role on defense. I wouldn't like to see two Justin Jackson's in there trying to defend other teams centers.
