Last year Quadri averaged 7 minutes per game. A large part of that was garbage time and significant foul trouble. He was our 4th big. The year before he averaged 8. The year before that Nyarcuk was our 3rd big and averaged 7 minutes... because he wasn't better than running 4 guards. Neither Jackson or Rubles averaged 30 minutes on the season so there were over 20 minutes per game for a 3rd big.

Bottom line is we don't and won't need 5 bigs. If Brooks isn't significantly better than at least one big he needs to red shirt. We did it with Scott last year because it would have been a wasted year. I know we have one less player on the roster this year but the fact is...the 5th big will be riding pine whether we have 10 or 11 players.

If he is the most talented, then it should prove out in the all-conference selections. He should supplant one, if not both of them, if you are correct.

You're correct...we don't know, but we definitely know which is more likely in the case of an elite athlete.

I think most of us know why you chose that word. It is correct. Some players get more out of less talent due to things like work ethic, heart, drive, hustle etc. Jacob looked like he was starting to apply his talent more as the season progressed. He's no slacker so he should be great very soon.

Here’s the Bellarmine thread where we scored in the 60s and only won by 9. We won 30 games this year. Not saying this will be the case but we can’t look to much into the exhibition games

there is no comparing Bellarmine to Tusculum.
