This is right and I think it happens. Memphis is not playing well right now. With our seniors I think we go in and take one. If that happens you have a nice chance at running January with home games vs ECU/SMU and away @Temple.

That would be 6 in a row and 7 out of 8. A long ways from that but we are capable.

Memphis is struggling. At their place will be tough but I just dont see they making the tournament. Beating an NIT team on the road is doable.

I dont know where to put this so I'll just put it in the last game thread.

We are top 50 in adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency our last 10 games played going back to the UNLV game

50 offense
47 defense

the offense has been 107.9 ADJO or better in 3 of the last 4 games. Defense has been good 4 of last 5 games and really good in 3 of last 5 games.

Jarron has now 4 straight games where his KP offensive rating has been 105 or higher.

To compare that with the rest of the season.. He had 1 game over 100 in 12 games prior to that.

When Jarron is playing high level efficient basketball, this team wins.

Jarron is averaging 7 assists per game in Conference games.

I'm guessing this was Brannen's plan for Jarron the entire time, Jarron just wasn't in physical shape to be able to do it.

This is a system to display all of Jarron's offensive abilities, points might be down a bit but 118.8 ORTG and 39.3 AssistRate in conference play so far.

And if you recall, even before Mick left, the plan for this season was to let Jarron play the point guard and show he can create from that spot.

Just took time for us to realize that Chris McNeal is not a PG and that Jarron is far better with the ball in his hands.

I actually get pissed off with out unselfish Jarron is at times. The dude should be scoring or setting up the guy who scores damn near every play.

And even his passes lead to better passes, Like he sees the play happen before it does. Against UCF he made a great pass into Scott that suckered in the defense, only so Scott could quickly get it to Jaevin for a 3 pointer. But all that starts with Jarron

And we finally figured out a zone on Saturday. Been waiting years for that. UCF even changed their zone and we countered that too. It was exciting to see.

I don't know when Jarron started running point a good % of the game (maybe 5 games or so) but the rest of the players are all better when he's there. At some point I would like to see a little more of Jarron the aggressor vs Jarron the facilitator....but if he is happy for now then so am I.

It seems that is the adjustment we make at half time. JC is dead in the first half...JC resurrected in the 2nd half. I mean that only from a scoring standpoint he has been FAR less aggressive in the first half this year it seems. He's been playing selfless ball lately...almost to a fault. Outside of Tulsa he's not been taking his normal amount of 3's. Which is fine as long as he's not passing them up for McNeal.
