FBI investigation

I thought we had a thread for this but couldn't find it. But just saw this article and it paints a pretty bleak picture

I think in the end the Blue Bloods are too big to fail. This will be a big nothing burger once it starts hitting people's $$$.

Edmond Sumner’s name is on the list as receiving $7,000. Chris Mack is the only coach from all these teams that made a statement and said he nor the school had any knowledge.

Theoretically speaking this is certainly possible for the issue this article is talking about. It would make sense that the agent would go to the athlete/the athletes family and not try to work their way in with the coaches which would be much more risky for them.

Now if it comes out the athletes were being told to go to certain schools for taking the money then I think we have a whole other problem.

The list also showed him meeting with coaches of programs. I don’t think they were trying to hide it from coaches. This is probably something just far more common than anybody knows.

But Xavier already has ties to it with Sean miller and Emmanuel Richardson.

I’d be really worried if I was a fan of that team.

AFAIK, whether the coach "knew" or not is pretty irrelevant as far as NCAA violations go.

At least they don't have any banners that need to be taken down! That would be really embarrassing.
