fifth third renovation
does anyone else get the sense the school will announce preliminary plans for a fifth third renovation of some kind?

I think it would be a good idea with the recent Cronin comments to at the very least play to his comments by "taking another serious look into the prospects"

No, not anytime soon. They will wait until AT LEAST when the football renovations are done.

No. The current $86 million renovation of Nippert is priority number one. Babcock in a recent tweet was asked about 5/3rd and replied that while they are looking at it, it will be tough to do.

yes but how much have they raised so far they said they asked for alittle more then needed as they have plans to work on basketball stuff next. I just think starting to look at its a good idea just to have it in the works

i have heard things like 100 million but i think they could do alot just by making the bottom a bowl shape just that alone would make the place so much better

Trust me they are considering right now. That doesn't mean anything will happen soon, but its on Whits to do list.

Agreed. I have to believe they are weighing all their options, i.e. do we want a quick fix right now (slight renovations to FTA, moving downtown with only a little remodeling), or wait till more money is saved up in a few years and either build a new on-campus arena or completely renovated US Bank and move downtown. There's a lot to think about.

If were going to build a new arena, I want to take some time and build a true state of the art palace, no matter how long it takes to raise that money.
