Interesting that the highest ranked division winner hosts the conference championship game. Would be awesome to see that at Nippert.

As a UC fan and someone who lived in the heart of Big 12 country at the time, I can say that NTS is correct...and my God is conference realignment the worst, most annoying thing ever. It was all about the Longhorn Network and the othe Big 12 schools being pissed and refusing to allow their school's games to be aired on that network. The LHN had partnered with ESPN and wanted to play other games of Big 12 teams for non-con football games to start...then all hell broke loose.

There were so many rumors that I couldn't keep track. Eventually I stopped even following conference realignment because it was too hectic, and it was a waste of time. Much easier to simply root for the Cats no matter where they are.
