I think Ben Bryant will be the starter for 4 years. I think he will red shirt this year and take over next year.

This is a ridiculous claim.

Either way think it would be a great mix. Pocket and a running QB.

I think it is far more likely that he transfers than him starting next year when our current starter is a redshirt freshman that is 5-0 in his first 5 games and is currently 18th in the country in passer rating with 8 passing td's to 1 pick and additional 250 yards on the ground along with 3 touchdowns. Unfortunately for Bryant, it looks like he may have one year to start assuming Ridder stays healthy (which admittedly is a big if).

His stats are good however the level of competition has been awful. I understand he can't control that. If the team continues its success throughout the rest of the schedule I think your point is valid if not I think there will be an open competition next year.

I just don't understand the general sentiment. Like you said, he can't control who he has played so far and he has basically been one of the best in the country. Everyone always wants something new, but I'm not sure what more you could possibly want out of Dez. He stats would be even more ridiculous if he had been able to play the entire game against Alabama A&M. Ridder was 9/10 with 3TDs and 200 yards. Bryant was 6/8 with a pick and 50 yards.

He is a true freshman who didn't get an in game snap until that game compared to a redshirt freshman who was in his 3rd game. I get it, im not knocking him if they continue success great if they don't then see who is better. I just want wins with the best players who give us that chance. If its dez then great.
