Thought it deserved its own thread.....
@EvanDaniels: Jermaine Lawrence asked Cincinnati for a release, per a source. |

In the long run this really sucks. Ellis was a good guy to have on backup though. So hopefully next year he isn't much different from what Lawrence would've been. But Damn.

This is a pretty major blow for the future. Next year would have been the perfect year for him to transform his game with plenty of playing time to be had.
Oh well, hope he has success in the future. |

Really disappointed. Loved his potential. This means Stewart is still in play. Hopefully Clark and Quad can make us forget all about what could have been.

When Lawrence originally committed he said he was coming to UC to become tougher. Guess he wasn't up for challenge.
Let me get this straight, he is hurt for most of his Jr and Sr years in HS. Comes to UC, plays half a season gets injured again and then decides to transfer and sit out a season? He has barely played in 3 years.

Wow. Major blow to next season. Our starting lineup just got a lot shorter.

Where is Lawrence going to go? A crappy team close to home where he can be "the guy"? |

Not sure about a LOT shorter. I would hope we can get similar production (or even better) out of Ellis, Moore, or Clark as we did Lawrence. We could go smaller I guess but I wouldn't see why we would have to.
