I agree with both those points. Still curious how Cronin held Gary back. You suggested he was the fourth option and not the focal point of the offense. I disagreed

when it came down to it, the offense was give it to jake and let him try to be sk. i disagreed with it all season and still disagree with it. the team didn't need to go to that gameplan last year, there was too much talent on offense.

the 20ppg was a bit of hyperbole cause we could never have a guy score that much unless we only had 1 or 2 offensive options again. last year had too many scorers to have anybody score that much on a team getting 65 possessions a game.

There were a couple games he put the ball in Evans' hands, especially in the second half of games. Mainly defensive minded Temple and Houston. But even Houston his gameplan was to abuse the opposing 4's and 5's and get them in foul trouble. It worked at home but the refs swallowed their whistles at Houston. But I still maintain his offense is designed around getting the ball inside and Gary was the focal point of that. Last year we did have a lot of options to score and with Gary's love for the assist (which I absolutely loved about him) it was easy for him to not be aggressive for his own points.
