I think it will. This team is lost and next year we will be very young and inexperienced. Then the next year Brannen will be on the hot seat and in a brutally difficult recruiting situation.

From now on all I care about is development and recruiting.

It would be nice if Brannen was good enough at coaching to adjust and help them succeed, but Brannen seems just as set in coaching his scheme regardless of the players as Cronin was.
Most coaches are. Jim boeheim hasn’t done much in years and is still running his zone

Probably too late for it now. But play Diarra and pray he figures it out on offense. It's why I've said Diarra needs more minutes. Or go small and play Scott at the 5, it's probably Scott's more natural position in this scheme. Vogt isn't going to improve on defense, Sorolla doesn't bring much. Diarra is the only guy on the team who has the potential to be an above average AAC center.

It’s definitely hard to see this team turning it around. Especially after tonight or the last couple weeks. But Xavier probably thought the same thing last year. Teams do it every year. You always hear about teams turning their season around. Not looking great right now for sure.

If he even gets a year 3. A new AD and fan upset after two straight NCAA tournament misses (after making it 9 straight years) may not get him to year 3.

Because we will be so young next year (and even in 2 years), this year was hugely important for Brannen's long-term coaching prospects to at least make the NCAA tournament. It's still possible that we will, but it's not looking likely.

He doesn’t have potential. They watch him play everyday. They see him play everyday. You’ve seen him play maybe 50 total minutes of basketball. If he could help, I promise you they would play him. He’s the 11th guy on the roster for a reason. He’s Quadri Moore. That’s who you want to play

Yeah this year is a total mess. I don’t see any signs of things turning around. It would be a miracle if this team made the tournament. I have been holding out my judgement on Brannen and his staff...but that is getting very hard to do.

I really don’t care About the tournament streak thing. I know a lot of people do and it’s nice to be there every year but good teams miss the tournament sometimes. Xavier, Wichita are a few that come to mind. It’s not the end of the world like some think. They are doing just fine.
