'12 SG KY Tamron Manning

Shooting guard
Georgetown, Kentucky
Scott County
Ht:6'4"
Wt:180 lbs
Class:2012 (High School)

Not sure mick and Co. are looking at this kid yet, but all indications are his recruitment is really going to pick up over the summer. He plays with Jalen Beckham on Hoop Dreams 2012 so I thought it was worth posting.

Tamron Manning (Hoop Dreams 2012)- The most active player for Hoop Dreams was Manning. He handled the ball, slashed to the basket, posted up and defended and rebounded at a high level. Not sure of how good an outside shooter Manning is, but last night he had the look and overall game of a high major prospect.

Scott County High School junior guard Tamron Manning has seen his solid spring and summer play translate into a lot of college looks.

The 6-foot-4 Manning had two scholarship offers - Eastern Kentucky and James Madison. He also lists Marshall, Dayton, Cincinnati, Ohio U., Washington, Miami and Missouri.

Manning recently visited Western Kentucky and is hoping to make a few more trips this month

Scott County High School junior Tamron Manning has long been considered the top basketball prospect statewide in the Class of 2012.

Now, the 6-foot-4 guard is seeing his college interest pick up.

Manning has offers from Marshall, Eastern Kentucky, James Madison, Akron and Ohio U. and is hearing from others.

Georgia State and Lehigh were watching him on Monday and Marshall is expected to also watch this week.

He’s also been in contact with Cincinnati, Xavier, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Washington, Missouri and Virginia Tech.

"It’s all going good right now," said Manning, who averaged 15.2 points and 6.2 rebounds a game as a junior for the Cardinals.
