With his dad, IUPUI head coach Ron Hunter, always in the front row looking on, R.J. had a solid game. As always he knocked in threes, but he also did more than just shoot the ball. Hunter rebounded against a bigger frontline, and also played solid defense getting steals and using his length to close down driving lanes. Not a great athlete, Hunter does struggle some to finish inside, but his shooting and long arms more than make up for things.

Hunter was offered by Michigan State. I know he really likes UC and Mick but things just got tougher with this offer. He's also good friends with Gary Harris and he is also big on the Spartans.

R.J. Hunter, SG, Pike- The 6-foot-4 Hunter is a skinny off-guard who can really shoot the ball from deep. He's better off the dribble than given credit for, plays with intensity on each end and is unafraid of being a verbal leader. His lack of strength does cause him some troubles at time, but he has one of the better basketball IQs.

Despite his father taking the Georgia State job, 2012 forward RJ Hunter will remain at Pike (IN).

UC used to be up on the list of his favorites but I think UC really cooled in his recruitment.
