Anybody is going to be frustrated when you have to play behind somebody that is clearly an inferior player. Everything that’s been visible from a fan perspective makes it look like he’s handling it properly but who knows behind the scenes. But mick does take every opportunity to unload on cane during games, he does not do this with everybody. Combine those two things and there is bound to be some sort of issue at some point. His mom has also made some “you’ve got to be kidding me” remarks on Twitter when he gets pulled from games for no reason. |

I will say though that i was very surprised when Hoard posted that clip today on twitter asking Mick about how he determines who takes the last shot and Mick said Canes name as somebody that could get the shot at the end of a game cause he can create space to get his own shot.
Mick knows Cane is the guy, whatever needs to happen for the minutes to reflect that, please let it happen. |

I am ready for Cane to explode in a good way on the court. He has to realize he's not the coach though...and coach USUALLY does make decisions for good reasons. Mom's twitter account aside. We have seen demanding players end up on different teams in the past. I sure hope Cane is not one of them. He has a great chance to bring us to the next level if he just listens to coach and does what is asked. |

My comment about his mom was just to show Im sure he's got people in his ear telling him he deserves better. Thats just how it is now. Mick talks about that all the time, how the outside influences always tell kids they should be playing 35 minutes. But young guys are still young guys, when you're frustrated and everybody is telling you that you're getting screwed, that works on your mind. It's very difficult to keep a good attitude. I think cane has done a pretty solid job of it so far, he always comes in with a lot of energy and is never moping around. |

In the end I don't care...I want him on the court and happy. Outside of Gary and Jacob I think he's the next most influential player in terms of March success right now. |

Wait... Canes mom wants him to play more?? Crazy, who would have thought that?
Oh - and she is right, he should be playing more. |

Broome must stay the course. If his ankle is right, we should be able to get him back in the groove and he'll be fresh by the end of the year.

Ok I’m from his town and I know his parents and the absolute last thing his parents would do is tell him to quit or the deserve more when Cane made his to transfer. They are good people believe in Cronin. But that doesn’t mean they will not get agree at times because anyone of us would. Because it looks as if he’s getting pulled for no reason at all sometimes. But Cronin does that to others as well. And who to say that wasn’t a comment his dad or sister read from her phone and made the comment. Because they’re that close as a family. Another thing when you look at a player like Trae Young do what he’s doing you can’t help but remember what Cane was like at SHU. Opportunity means a lot. But I thought that was who we went to get, that Trae Young type player. But Mick will never let a player free in that way. It’s hard to change when you had success by doing things the same way for 12+ years. But again his parents loves this team and from what I’m told his moms cook for the team whenever they are in Cincy and the guys look forward to her cooking and chatting with his Pops because he’s very knowledgeable about basketball. He trained plenty kids in this area and coached some good player like Xavier’s Tyreke Jones.

Cane knew EXACTLY the team and coach he transferred to. Cronin is a slow mover, but I fully expect Cane's minutes to only grow month over month as this year and next goes on. Cronin is only especially harsh on players he believes in.... |
