Top and Bottom Moments of season

Worst Moments:

1. Loss to Presby - what a smack in the face to start the season. With such high pre-season expectations.

2. Loss to Marshall - the realization that the Presby loss might not have been a fluke and we had some serious issues.

3. Xavier - The game. Didn't bring the energy we needed. Got embarressed in more ways than one.

4. Getting blown out by Marquette - Really hit hard because I thought we were ready to turn the corner at that point...

5. Louisville (Beast Tourny) - Just ran out of gas. Would have been unreal to win the Big East tourny. Sucked because I felt we were better than them but couldnt show it on the big stage.

Best Moments:

1. Oklahoma game - First big game after the brawl and 4 easy wins. Were down and out with 5 minutes to go. Cashmere takes over and they find a way to win a game they had little business winning.

2. Pitt - At the time they were #21 and we were without Yancy. Such a big win.

3. Uconn - SK buzzer beater at there place. Awesome.

4. Gtown (Beast Tourny) - Double OT. Gates just putting the team on his back and carrying us to the a win. Back and forth game. Very very exciting.

5. Syracuse (Beast Tourny) - I think this was a season defining win. Beating the #2 team in the country at MSG with everyone watching. That is the type of win that gives players confidence for a couple of years. Only team that would beat Cuse with Melo. I think SK's corner three will be the defining moment of that game.

6. FSU - Back and forth. Pound it out. Who wants it more. Dions dunk. Great game to advance to second weekend of tourny.

Loved when we beat Marquette after they whupped us the first time. Thought it was a defining moment for our guards who drove the lane all night when we weren't hitting our 3's.

The FSU game was unbelievable with our level of intensity the whole game. I still think we could have beaten OSU if we had played to the same level; I just think it's too hard to play at that level every game. Craft stealing the ball from us consistently was frustrating because that is usually what we do.

No embarrassment to UC at all. Teams often lose to a team by over 20 and beat them the next time they play. UNC lost to Florida State by 31 and beat Florida State the next time they played.

It was XU who got exposed in this game. XU lost the fight and then showed the nation their true colors with the locker room full of gangstas and zip em up in body bags remarks. XU has the respect of no one, Purdue has stated they will never play the gangstas again. Doug Gotlieb has often ridiculed them on ESPN. The gangsta image will be with XU forever into the future.

It was one of Mick's shinning moments, his remarks after the game and his meaningful suspensions of players where as Chris Mack and the XU athletic department chose to take the low road in an attempt to protect their #8 ranking at the time.
