For me, clear coach of the year is Kelvin Sampson.

Would be great if it’s Cronin though.

But Houston was picked to finish like 7th right ? And they ended up splitting with UC And WSU, and are a top 25 team.

Yeah definitely Sampson. Being picked 1st makes that award tough for the coach.

While I think Sampson did a nice job with the cougars Mick and the Cats dominated the league. 2 losses and clinching the title at WSU is a very good season. I know we were picked to win the league but other then 3 games we dominated the competition.

I want coach Cronin to win. But I won’t be upset if he doesn’t.

Hell, I’d hear arguements for tubby smith as well.

I'm calling Sampson as well. Im pretty sure he had to scrap for players his first year at Houston. They are now a top 25 team and going to the Dance for the first time since 2010. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Mick though.

Not bad for a guy who cheated twice in the NCAA and still gets to coach

Apparently that's half of the current coaches. Also, minor infractions over phone calls and text

@RobDauster
And here are the @NBCSports College Basketball All-American teams. The first team was easy, obvious and should be a consensus. https://t.co/18jzgPpC3b https://t.co/EGKHW8DVeg

SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICA

GARY CLARK, Cincinnati: 12.7 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 1.5 spg, 1.3 bpg

His numbers are middling, but the impact he has on Cincinnati defensively is not. And for a team who wins because they are having an all-time great season stopping the ball, that is hard to overlook.
