Looks like Tari is declaring his commitment tomorrow. Hopefully to us! Being so soon after Wes's visit seems to be a good sign.
Or he could be declaring that he's looking forward to 4/20

There aren't many options that give you the rim protection and rebounding that Tari does. I'm sure we can find some ok fillers for a year or two, but that's a downgrade. At BCN there is talk about juco Langston Wilson. He could be a good replacement.
If tari doesn’t want to come back, we have to move on. There are 1500 kids in the portal. I am sure there are a couple that can play. I don’t have names, haven’t went through all 1500 names but I’m sure there are 2-3 that are decent.

Here are the rim protectors: barttorvik.com/playerstat.php?link=y&sIndex=22&xvalue=trans

My point is we aren't going to upgrade or even replace Tari in the transfer portal. Nobody has his combination of blocks + steals and rebounding. Obviously we will have to bring in several guys who are decent, whether he stays or not.

Nerlens Noel was the only other freshman to have Tari's block and steal rate (i guess since they started tracking those stats).

You don't really just replace a guy like that.

It seems like UC is the best situation for Tari outside of if he wants to stay close to home. Playing time. Save his free transfer. Fired up new coach.

Ongenda is right there with him as a sophomore. Good finisher at the rim too. Tre Mitchell and Emanuel Miller (also sophomores) give you better offense but worse blocks/rebounding. There are a handful of seniors too. After that you're looking at clear downgrades. I really hope Tari stays.

Imagine Tari with the sophomore jump though. I sure hope its in a UC jersey.

We are trying to keep him. It’s not like we are choosing to let him go.

Yes I know. TheRealMick said "shouldn’t be that hard find replacements or better". I don't agree.
