We haven't won at Cintas since 2001. Not only is that horrible, depressing, maddening etc etc but I don't see it happening this year either.
What has me mind blown is we have basically everyone back from last year, we played some big games, big road games (hostile crowds) like SMU, UConn, NCAA tourney but I feel, this year's team is mentally weak. I don't think they are ready for a nasty pressure packed environment that awaits them this Saturday. I am really worried about Ellis doing something dumb. Not even one game dumb, but multiple games dumb. Reynolds is a straight punk and is for sure going to bait him. Our defense has more holes than swiss cheese right now. If Xavier gets on a roll and gets up by 10 or more watch out. We are lacking leadership right now and I'm trying to think of a guy who is going to be our glue, step up and not let us get our heads down. I hope I am wrong, I really do but I just don't see us winning. Some people are mentioning, well if X kicks our ass that will wake us up for the rest of the year. If that is the case, we have a deeper problem. I will say the score is: UC-58 X-74 |

I am expecting similar officiating to the Butler game this week. X will be in the bonus 30 of 40 mins and Ellis and Clark will be in foul trouble within minutes of tipoff. Cue up another game where Tobler plays and UC loses.

Even with a loss, historically we go on a historic run and they go on a historic slide. Always look on the briiiight side of life!

Poor defense and fundamentals, lots of TO's, tech's on coaches and players, does this sound like another UC team?
Seems to be a yearly trend that as soon as Cronin's teams get ranked they get overconfident and Mick brings this up seemingly every year. I thought that when Rothstein snubbed Ellis and Troy that it was locker room material and that he likes being the underdog, then when the team wins every year seems they cannot handle it.

I was thinking that too, but honestly he just seems to play better off the bench for whatever reason. He will likely be in during the last 8 mins of the game when the game is on the line. The only issues I have with Johnson are his over-dribbling and bad passing. I do love how he crashes the glass and his overall intensity on defense.
