Kansas has appeared in 30 straight tournaments dating back to 1990. In that time they have been to 19 S16's, 13 E8's, 7 F4's, 4 title games and have won 1 national championship.

Duke has appeared in 24 straight tournaments dating back to 1996. In that time they have been to 17 S16's, 8 E8's, 5 F4's, 4 title games and have won 3 national championships.

Michigan State has appeared in 22 straight tournaments dating back to 1998. In that time they have been to 14 S16's, 9 E8's, 7 F4's, 2 title games and have won 1 national championship.

Gonzaga has appeared in 21 straight tournaments dating back to 1999. In that time they have been to 10 S16's, 3 E8's, 1 F4's, 1 title games and have won 0 national championships.

North Carolina has appeared in 9 straight tournaments dating back to 2011. In that time they have been to 6 S16's, 4 E8's, 2 F4's, 2 title games and have won 1 national championship.

UC has appeared in 9 straight tournaments dating back to 2011. In that time they have been to 1 S16, 0 E8's, 0 F4's, 0 title games and have won 0 national championships.

As you can see the P5 teams on this list advance to the S16 approx. 65% of the time combined. Gonzaga does so 48% of the time. By comparison, UC has gotten there 11% of the time.
Well done on the first post. Accurate and sobering. It goes to show the comparison stops at the streak of getting in. While the streak is impressive it’s also misleading. Contenders and pretenders.

Actually I don’t think our coach can do a whole lot better with what we walk into the dance with. We lost a few games we should not have but we would not project out much further anyway.

They also get 3 top 100 recruits every season, they are the best team ever to exist at recruiting outside of the country.

They seem to go for the kids who can actually play and not just ones that are sort of athletic and can rebound.

First time poster here, I love my Bearcats have spent a considerable amount of time following them. When I was younger around 6 yrs old I looked at the wildcat (I was born in Covington KY) and the Bearcat and I made a decision to go Bearcats. I'm proud of my choice.. with all that said I believe we have a growing coach that's had some successful just not in the postseason. I believe he has to get better and wants to get better. And Texas tech just reached thier first final 4 ever congrats to them but they got a ways to go before they could ever be considered a better basketball program. #GoCatsBaby

Post if the year. People go on and on about the ncaa streak but honestly, what does that get you? Nothing. You become a joke if you lose every first weekend. That’s what we will have to recruit against now. While our other league teams are giving blue bloods all they can handle, we are losing to Iowa and Nevada.

I don’t think there is a difference between not making the tournament and losing the first weekend. If there is a difference, it’s not much
