One of my former bosses is on the coaching staff at Fishers HS and I caught up with him today to ask about Potts. He said that RJ is a great kid and from a talent standpoint he was easily the best player on their team. Which btw isn't easy to do because Fishers has one of the best programs in the state and they draw from a huge community for their public schooling (think Lakota only bigger).

Being an IU alumni my former boss said he had hoped that Potts would commit to IU but the coaching change recently soured him on that idea. It sounds like IU was probably a done deal until their coach got fired and Michigan was a close second.

This is a HUGE steal by Fickell basically coming out of nowhere to land him. I'm sure Luke had him on a prospect radar from his time at OSU and realized he was up for grabs with all the chaos happening at IU.

Anyways, take it for what it's worth, but RJ gets huge props for a guy on the Fishers staff. Incredible athlete and great kid from his account.
