'13 MA PG Jaylen Brantley
TheRecruitScoop Alex Kline
Georgia Tech & Cincinnati are watching Jaylen Brantley, a 2013 PG from Wilbraham & Monson (MA), workout today. Mod Note: This kid is a shooter!!! He has great range out to about 22'. He has a pretty good handle and ball skills. On the downside he isn't a great athlete nor does he have great speed, which means it's a must for him to be open. He still has time to develop physically but lacks high major size right now, but his shooting will continue to get him looks from programs. |

Wilbraham and Monson was well represented at the event, showcasing a variety of their top prospects including their backcourt of Maodo Lo and Jaylen Brantley, who showed why they are both division I recruits and a tandem to be reckoned with in class AA this season.

Jaylen Brantley (Wilbraham and Monson 2013) – Brantley is a diminutive 5’9” point guard who made a name for himself on the summer circuit with BABC as a knockdown long range shooter. As the captain and leader of Wilbraham and Monson, he is proving to be far more than just a deep shooter. Brantley was terrific in screen and roll sets both with the pass and by turning the corner and making a series of floaters. One such floater came with 2 seconds left on the game clock and gave his team a 1 point victory.
Jaylen Brantley (Wilbraham and Monson 2013) – Brantley has high major suitors all over him including Syracuse, Florida, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Richmond, UCF, Cincinnati, and Connecticut. UConn assistant Kevin Ollie was in the front row watching Brantley’s buzzer beating performance today. http://www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2011...ort-day-three/ |

Class of 2013 four-star point guard Jaylen Brantley had a less than inspiring effort for Wilbraham and Monson. Without the competitive edge he showed on the travel team circuit, Brantley managed 14 points, but only went 1-6 from behind the arc and had one rebound and one assist to six turnovers.
