Georgia
Saturday, 12/19
8:00 PM Stegeman Coliseum SEC Network Our final OOC game of the 20-21 season presents an opportunity to earn what will likely be our second Q2 victory against a 5-0 Georgia squad (KP #93). Georgia only returns 2 of its top 8 minute-earners from last year's 16-16 squad that included 2020 #1 NBA draft pick Anthony Edwards. They've bolstered this year's squad with grad transfers from Va. Tech, Stony Brook, and George Mason along with a few JUCOs. They do return some impressive talent in former top 100 recruits Sahvir Wheeler and Christian Brown who are both sophomores. 3rd-year coach Tom Crean recruited the #11 recruiting class in college basketball in 2019. Less impressive has been Georgia's schedule so far (297th on KP), which has featured a 13-point win over Montana (KP #150), and 3 wins over teams that were ranked 270th or worse in Ken Pom, along with one win over a D2 team - all at home. In Georgia's last game against #273 Samford, they were down 13 points at one point in the first half, 9 points in the second half, and didn't take the lead for good until there were 32 seconds left in the game before holding on for a 79-75 win. Like us, they've shot the ball well inside the arch (56.1% 2FG) and poorly from outside (27.6% 3FG). They've also shot an abysmal 23/41 from the FT line (56%) over their past two games. They've been an elite rebounding team so far though, particularly on the offensive glass where they grab just over 15 boards/game (we allowed 13 & 12 off rebounds to Tenn and USF respectively). This appears to be a very winnable game but a victory will require us to correct some of our glaring issues from our past few losses. |

being serious, I don't expect to win this game or the next one.
I think we go on a 3 game skid. Im setting the bar ultra low so I can be surprised, but in my mind This is an L, UCF is an L, Tulsa is a W, SMU is an L, and @WSU is a L. |

If we are going by what we’ve seen so far, I don’t see us winning any games. Some things need to change or we won’t win any games.

I mean who even says that the wins come first in a W/L record. I’m flipping it We are 3-2 in the L/W standings and that ain’t bad. |
