Because he can get away with it. Those kids have god giving talent that need little coaching not over coaching. These kids are afraid to make a mistake.

yea I was listening too. And then he said, good season we won two championships. Really?! I still put this all on coaching staff. They always freakin blame the players in some round about way. Ya'll played stall ball and got stiff. Then the players start playing stiff because mick is screaming throughout every freaking play.
Good job Mick, you are now that coach that had that epic tourney meltdown. I hope he doesn't bring up anything about "respect" next year.

I agree with this. His yelling is counter-productive. Look at Coach K - he changed his style up and is more coach than COACH. Mick makes the players too tense.

Mick Cronin says he doesn't care about sweet 16s, just national championships. Might be time Mick readjusts his expectations as a coach considering he's made one sweet 16 in twelve years as the head coach. Dude can't even sniff a national championship.

-Favorites Miami and Tennessee both lose to Loyola Chicago, essentially on buzzer beaters.
-Houston misses a game-icing free throw with seconds left then proceeds to lose on a 30 feet buzzer beater to Michigan.
-Last year's champs UNC lose to a more inferior 7 seed than Nevada (Texas A&M) by 20+
-Final 4 favorites Michigan State lose to a NIT-caliber Syracuse squad IN MICHIGAN.
-Auburn lost by 30+ today to a Clemson team that has been missing arguably their best player for the second half of the season.
-Wichita State lost to freakin Marshall

As bad as our collapse was, a lot of teams arguably sh*t the bed worse than us.
Everyone in this board know shit happens, but when it's a constant theme that never ever changes, it becomes unbearable. You would think in the last how many years of making the tournament that UC would get past the third round once, law of averages. But for some reason same old song and dance. Just by probability we should have gotten one lucky break in tournament, just ******* once. Why have we not got that one break? Any one that can answer that I will be willing to listen other than that loss to UCLA,were all ways getting beat on a last second ******* bucket.

Cronin doesnt understand that the most coaching is done in practice. No need to constantly yell at the guys over every little thing. Im not sure why any player commits to play for him. Maybe they commit because of the assistants

Cronin Left Cumberland in the game with 4 fouls and lots of time. He promptly got scored on because he couldn't foul on the in bound play. Then he gets his 5th not long after. We even had a comfortable lead at that point. It's not like we were down 10.

Extremely stupid decision by coach. The offense we ran with 10 minutes left was also stupid.

There was a lot that went into this loss from a player and ref standpoint as well...but the coach has to be better than that if we ever wanted to get past the 16 again with him as our coach.

He's a very very good coach who can't recognize his faults or doesn't know how to fix them. Devastating loss !!!

Uh, he didn't. He applauded him for driving at 10:25 and yelled at him for shooting jump shot.

Is this for real? Cane Broome needs little coaching? Unless your name is Gary Clark you're fair game.

But then again the foul he went out on was a joke. Not expecting the refs to favor the opponent all game. I will second the stall ball and allowing Evans to keep dribbling and letting Nevada in. Call timeout stop the bleeding,do something
