Ha I heard that as well. Good to hear that he knows he's a C and embraces that role. Just what we need.

I saw him listed at 6'9" 200, but Chad said he's closer to 6'10" and 240. Sounds like he is more ready physically than I would've thought.

Was that before or after X picked up Tyrique Jones?

Well obviously he committed after the Jones commitment, since that was yesterday, but X offered Brooks a couple months ago. They've wanted him for a while.

Everything I have read he is the ultimate Bearcat type player. His coach talks about his intelligence and how he is always in the right position. He relishes defense and rebounding. He's rugged, strong and athletic. I'm happy they landed him. With Clark, Moore, Troy, KJ, Evans and Scott back he will be needed more for rebounding and D in the post. than offense and with him you'll get that immediately. He also sits just outside the top 150 and could move up by this coming seasons end. This is the type of talent that you identify early and land that brings with it rewards later. Now if Washington commits today, UC has gone a long way in securing their front court for the next two years and beyond.

Based on the offers he had been getting lately, I'm glad we got him now. His stock is only going to continue to climb I think. 6'10" guys with a motor aren't just all over the place.
