I am, however, rooting for SMU to do well the rest of the season because having 5 bids would really help the AAC's perception. |

I want 5 bids and for the conference to look good, but I want a conference championship more. UCONN winning tonight helps with that goal. We now have a 2 game lead over 2 of the 3 best teams in conference.

For sure it would be nice to have a two game cushion. If...IF...we win the games we are supposed to the UL game is HUGE in that regard. But our schedule is backloaded big time...so YES the two game cushion is HUGE at this point. Sucks it's at UL though...their fans will probably be out for blood because of last year's home game at UC. Our fans downright read them the riot act in that game. Fortunately Behanan is off the team so maybe it won't be too bad...but I doubt it.

OSU with their 3rd straight loss tonight. If we win Saturday we very well may pass them in the polls.

UL is the only team in the conference that really worries me. They have a ton of talent and know how to score...a lot. Defensively you know they are sound too. I was really happy to see UConn win last night. If we can split both UConn and UL that would be very good for us imo. I am expecting to beat Memphis again especially with it on senior day.

Here I'll post this again for you. This is a very well respected D1 coach giving his assessment of Aaron's abilities. I'm quite certain Your observations are based on many more years of experience and general knowledge about the game of basketball then his but I thought I would post a different opinion just the same. hope you enjoy it. http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/all...edia_id=283255 |

Opposing coaches never rip opposing players. It's not good form. If they did, you would get plenty of coaches saying that he can't defend the pick and roll well because he gets "stuck on the pick" far too often. He plays defense with his hands and as a result, fouls like crazy but it doesn't get called. He can't shoot worth a lick so we will gladly give him the 3 point shot and take our chances with a 28% shooter with bad form. |
