This conference could be top 4 when/if Uconn and Memphis turn it around.

I tell you what, if WSU had trouble with Shake Milton, Jacob Evans might eat them alive.

I think the way to establish conference strength is in non con. When you get to conference you are just cannibalizing no matter which conference you are in. A win for one team is a loss for another.

The only way we can increase our SOS once we get into conference is for the teams we play twice to win and the teams we play once to lose.

We have no reason to root for ECU, USF, or Tulsa. We can root for Tulane if they can be a column 2 win away game...if not we need to root for the other teams.

I'm not following this. If the teams we played out of conference do well, our SOS improves. Similarly, if that happens on average to every AAC team, the AAC's overall RPI will improve. Everything is still mobile at this point in the season.

The original post was about Memphis and Uconn turning it around. Those are in conference games.

The Pac12 should be better but the teams are bad this year

Here's their current KenPom ratings.

#24 Arizona
#27 Arizona St
#46 USC
#51 UCLA
#61 Oregon
#77 Utah
#96 Stanford
#102 Colorado
#111 Oregon St
#114 Washington
#148 Washington St
#221 California

We're better for teams 1-4. They're better for 5-12.

Sorry, I meant if they turned it around in the future. They won't help this year. This conference does have the potential top be a top tier Bball league in the near future. Let's hope Marshall doesn't leave WSU anytime soon.
