UConn

Game is Friday at 2 PM EST on ESPN2.

We all know about UConn.

We all know how this game is going to go.

I think UConn will be -1.

UCONN hasn't impressed me at all. Yes we've beaten them twice this year but that's not even the reason why. Their offense doesn't impress me too much. I think the match-up of our defense versus their offense is heavily in our favor. Their defense is good but I believe our offense is capable enough to beat them a third time.

But, with that said it's still UCONN. I can easily see Purvis and Gibbs coming out and both making three or four 3's.

We shot well in Orlando in our last game there ( even though it was against UCF, we still made open shots). I remember Caupian saying he likes their gym and feels comfortable there. Kenyon is supposedly going to be back with the team and we all know how his presence lifted us to wins. Cobb looks healthy and maybe another week will get him to 100% and Shaq will be able to pay.

So many moving parts here its hard to tell exactly what will happen. These games are always close but I think we are the better overall team.

The game is not played at UCF's arena, it is played downtown where the Orlando Magic play.

Hope we get Shaq back for this one and Cobb is healthy and finds his stroke. In these kinds of ugly games we need the bodies. Really have no desire to see Moore or JJ getting meaningful minutes.

I hear you. What will be Moore's rule the next two years?

i really can not see Moore having a large role with the players we have coming in. He isn't a 5 and Clark will see 30 minutes a game unless he is hurt or in foul trouble at the 4. Wouldn't surprise me to see Mick searching for a experienced transfer big to back up Washington at the 5. We also have Scott coming off red shirt and if we want to go small on ocassion we can play Cumberland at the 3 and Evans at the 4. Limited minutes and right match up of course. While Moore seems much more active this year he seems to be a guy who is just going to do it his way. Don't really think Mick trust him on the floor with the ball in his hands.

If we have a few things go our way next year and a couple of guys take steps forward we can be very good. When I think of a shot here or there this year is the difference to being a ranked team and a nice seed I really don't see Moore as a real contributor. I hope he proves me wrong but I would be surprised.

He'll definitely be a back up how far back is the question. On a good team would you want him getting DeBerry minutes. I think Mick looks to bring in a transfer.

Shaq seems like a great guy and has represented the university well, but from a purely basketball standpoint I think UC is better with him out and having Mick forced to play Jacob Evans. His shot is struggling right now but is otherwise a much better player than Shaq.
