Anytime I see there is a new comment on a thread and then see that comment was by Ralph, I die a little inside.

Based on the assessments of UC coach Mick Cronin and associate head coach Larry Davis, David Nyarsuk – UC’s new 7-foot-1 center- is more agile and potentially more productive than any of the Bearcats’ past seven-footers – Marty Dow, Mike Reicheneker and Biggie McClain, none of whom saw extensive playing time at UC.
“He plays really hard,” Davis said of Nyarsuk. “He’s a shot blocker. He runs the floor very well. He goes and gets rebounds. He can pass the ball. He’s not a black hole when he catches it. He can pass the ball high-low. He’s got a feel for how to play that a lot of times the Africans don’t have. The biggest thing is he battles and plays really hard.” Said Cronin: “He’s very competitive. The one thing impresses me the most is his ability to play 35 minutes a game. You just don’t see that. That tells you he’s competitive. He can really run. He can obviously play when he’s tired.” Dow was part of Tony Yates’ recruiting class that included Levertis Robinson, Lou Banks and Keith Starks. He stayed at UC for only one year before transferring after the 1986-87 season Reicheneker was a junior college transfer who played on UC’s 1990-91 team and the 1992 Final Four team. McClain was a Mick Cronin recruit who played at UC from 2008-11. http://cincinnati.com/blogs/uc/2012/...ast-7-footers/ |
