At 6-foot-2 and over 200 pounds of muscle, the truth about New Hampton (N.H.) Prep's Terrell is that he's stronger, faster, and more athletic than most any other guard in New England's 2014 class.
At the Elite 75, he once again showed his value on a big stage. The Expressions Elite star has an incredibly built body, enabling him to take defenders to the rim off the dribble, but his effective three-point touch makes him a true inside-out offensive threat. Terrell lists several recruiting schools, including Miami, Connecticut, Providence, Cincinnati and Rutgers. While Terrell is a power broker in the backcourt, the chief trait of Joseph's that stood out was his knack for bringing his best effort against top competition. http://cincinnati.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1380868 |

Jared Terrell (2014 SG) – Terrell’s newest scholarship offer came from Connecticut to join his impressive list including Cincinnati, Iowa, Iowa State, Rutgers, Miami, Florida, Providence, Boston College and St. John’s. He said that he’s been in contact with everyone on that list since June 15th acknowledging Cincinnati as the school that’s been coming at him the hardest in that time. In addition to these offers, Terrell has heard from the Kansas staff recently as well. They have yet to extend a scholarship offer but are planning to watch Terrell in July and are actively recruiting him. He declined to mention any favorites in his recruitment at this time stating that it’s way too early to tell. Terrell plans to sit down with his parents after the AAU season and discuss potentially trimming his list but for now he is still adding offers, not narrowing things down.

I already posted this on the board for Abdul-Malik Abu, but I wanted to add it here, as well:

Accuracy and making smart shots are assets all shooting guards need to improve upon. Not only did 2014 Brewster Academy (NH) shooting guard Jared Terrell do that, but he redefined his body a bit. Not as streaky on the court, Terrell is becoming a much more consistent finisher, who is strong and in much better shape. While his handle is still an area of concern, the No. 28 player in the Rivals150 will need to keep working on his shot and handle to become the complete package. As a package deal with his AAU teammate, Abdul-Malik Abu, may or may not happen, Terrell believes Rutgers, Miami, UConn and Cincinnati are recruiting him the hardest of those who have offered, which also includes Providence, St. John's, SMU, Kansas State, Tennessee and Iowa State. Oddly enough, SMU coach Larry Brown's daughter attends his school.

Back a while ago, Terrell said UC and Kansas were on him the hardest. But once they go to Brewster, anything can happen really. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going and lock up some 2014 kids soon.
