Sean Kilpatrick
He has taken a lot of heat recently, and some deserved; but I love that he has the maturity to get to the line and contribute in other ways. I love having him as our leader the next 3 months. He is far from perfect, but he has been a Bearcat staple and will leave as one of my all-time favorites.
The real reason for this post is to say that at his current pace, he will pass Steve Logan for second on the all-time scoring list at home against Memphis. Senior day anyone? |

He is a very good player, not a good shooter. I think that is where people get confused. There is a reason why he is the top scorer in the league. I am happy for him, in his career he will have gone to 4 NCAA tournaments and made the all conference team 3 times. Great kid, great Bearcat.

Ya I love sk, I admit he hasn't been making as many shots lately as he has in the past, but rarely when he takes a shot is it a bad shot. He is going to get his shot back and when he does watch out because this team is going to be very scary, no one is going to want to see us in the tourney.

Read an article on cnnsi by Seth Davis that essentially said Kilpatricks struggles will be the undoing of UC. He doesn't seem to think he will recover.

For the time being I would like to see SK taper it back a bit on the threes. Maybe 5 or so a game not 7, 8, or 10. If he can make 40% he can shoot 10. Right now he is a more effective weapon driving and getting to the line. Kid knows how to predict, create and handle contact.
Wide open 3's or late in the shot clock I am fine with. Other than that I would like to see him driving, passing, running off picks etc. I would also rather see TC running point most of the time and SK at the 2 with the possible exception of icing the game. I wouldn't mind seeing his minutes scaled back just a tad so we don't wear him out. He might be worn out already judging on outside shooting alone. |
