I'm really not trying to be the bad guy here, but this dude has no business playing at a school like Cincinnati. A former walkon from Monmouth, who's going to be a 5th year Sr. and averaged 12 a game? Guy averaged 3 rebounds and 1.5 assistant a game, so it's not like he's some elite passer or all around player either. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe a kid like a kid like this could do well here. But IMO if we started filling out our roster with players like this we're already dead in the water. If this kid sees more than a couple minutes a game then we're in some serious, serious trouble.

He has always turned the ball over a lot, he's become a worse shooter every year, and he has a really high usage. I'm kinda surprised we're looking at him |

Lets not act like we are above any transfer at the moment, at this point what right do we have to be picky, we have 4 guys on scholarship and a coach who is perceived as not being a personable coach and lying on the recruiting trail. I honestly do not believe a lot of these high major kids are wanting to play for Brannen, I may be wrong but if you had other major offers would you seriously consider UC at the moment? With how things have played out JB has dug himself a very deep grave and he is trying to claw out. Remember how much he talked up Rap? We all saw how that turned out. We can offer playing time and that's what a lot of these mid major kids want, they want a chance to play at a bigger school.

Can thrive when he's playing alongside other good players (like when he played with Rideau and Yetna in 18-19) and is less effective when more of the load is placed on him. If he's willing to take on a lesser role, I don't think we can turn down a player of his talent level. Considering Brannen's record with bringing in transfers, he may be among the higher caliber of players that we have a realistic shot at considering his regional connections. |

I don't think Collins is very good, but I'll fill out a thin roster with guys like this for one year if we can't do better. I worry that he'd be Chris McNeal 2.0 though. If regional connections have weight for him, I'd think Penn St and Pitt would be more attractive.

Toney seems like the name to get right now. Shore up guards with DDJ/MAW. The 3 of them would make a decent backcourt.
